Terms of service

Courtney Pearson Company (aka Shop Vancouver Mermaid/Courtney Mermaid/Vancouver Mermaid here referred to as SVM) is owned and operated by Courtney Pearson.

1. General & Safety

• My (SVM) mermaid products are meant for general use. If you choose to swim in my (SVM) products, you do so entirely at your own risk. Swimming as a mermaid can be dangerous and the improper use of mermaid-related apparel, equipment, and mermaid tails can result in serious injury or death. By purchasing from my (SVM) shop you acknowledge that you take full responsibility for your safety and wellbeing.

2. Communication and Confidentiality

• Email is the preferred method of communication. Therefore any and all communication regarding the shop will be done via email (info@vancouvermermaid.ca).
• I (SVM) work as I am able to and my schedule fluctuates frequently due to my disability. If a message is received while I am on a rest day, unless urgent, it will be replied to as soon as I am able.
  
• I (SVM) am Autistic and also live with chronic pain, and am therefore sometimes slow to respond to emails.
• I (SVM) may also require more time to complete work tasks due to the need for unexpected rest days. I (SVM) understand from experience that this can be frustrating for some and have chosen to be as upfront as possible can so that you may rest assured that I (SVM) am doing my best and that I (SVM) greatly appreciate your patronage.

3. Payment & Shipping

• SVM reserves the right to modify prices listed at any time without prior notice.
• The Client is responsible for all shipping fees and related import fees.
• Shipping times will vary due to things like global situations, customs, missed flights, or anything of that nature.

5. Timeline and Deadlines

• Items are made to order and productions times there for apply.
• Items shipping from different suppliers may ship separately.
• If you place multiple orders separately, they will be produced separately, and will be shipped separately.

6. Sizing and Measurements

• Please make sure you double and triple check your measurements as SVM is not responsible for incorrect measurements or sizes provided and confirmed by you.
• Refunds are not available for incorrect sizing selections as our products are made to order.

7. Appearances and Design

• Items may look different than their mockups due to a number of factors including (but not limited to) screen resolution, variables in the printing process, and variables during the sewing process etc.
• SVM is not liable for variables that occur between the mockups and the final products.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

• Given that all of our products are made to order, refunds are not available.
• You may cancel you order within 24 hours only. At that point production will be underway and I (SVM) will no longer be able to cancel your order.
